Intercultural dialogue is the communication between representatives of different human cultures.
I consider, as a scinece discipline, the intercultural dialogue is in the stage of formation
and has two peculiar features: the easiness of communication between people of different cultures
and the lowness of the conflict situations.

It could be argued that whilst dialogue can and often does lead towards consensus or conflict
resolution, perhaps it is useful to see dialogue not only as a tool of consensus building but
as a means of creating, or making explicit, conflict and conflicting views even if it does
not necessarily lead to a resolution. In making conflict explicit, it can help to develop an
understanding of the diversity of positions, even if it does not reconcile them.

Intercultural dialogue to me is the exchanging of views on specific topics between parties
who have different cultural or social backgrounds. These dialogues are useful for fostering
understanding but there can be a great deal of conflict which is not always resolved.
